H. Forman and Son in East London is a famous smokehouse set up in 1905 which still runs in the family today. Voted the Best Unusual or Unique Venue at the London Venue Awards in 2015, it makes the perfect spot to tour for those with a love of smoked salmon. Start off by learning the processes that go in to producing the finest smoked Scottish salmon. • Availability Description

  The tour runs at least six times a year, usually once every two months on either a Friday or Saturday.

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age 16. Wheelchair users can be accommodated, please specify requirements at point of booking. All participants must sign a disclaimer form on the day.

  The tour starts at 11am and finishes at 2pm and lasts for around three hours.

• Dress Code

  The smokehouse is cold so warm clothes with long sleeves are recommended, along with closed toe shoes and no high heels (as there are steps down to the smokehouse). Compulsory safety wear is provided on arrival.
