Weekend Pottery Course in Herefordshire
Overview
Based in Eastnor Castle Country Estate, this weekend pottery course is an ideal place to learn new pottery skills. Begin day one with a welcome tea or coffee, before receiving group demonstrations of pot throwing. Get hands-on and practice fundamental pottery skills, with experienced tutor's on hand to help. After a lunch, watch further demonstrations and work on larger lumps of clay. The results of your labour are left overnight to dry. On day two, learn to throw foot-rings, add handles and motifs. Stop for lunch, then choose your favourite pots and colour them using glazes and decorating slips. The creations are left to dry properly before being put in the kiln. They are fired and glazed and posted to your home approximately one month later.
