Very good experience , very knowledgeable, friendly staff and volunteers, unfortunately a bit disappointed at the length of the actual ride on the steam train, notwithstanding we could travel as much as we wished

The gift was given as something 'for me' rather something I needed (eg Clothing) - using the website it was easy to choose which place I wished to visit and then arrange the visit - tickets and notes sent by e-mail
Arrival at the site was by train and very easy to get 'on site' - less than 15 minutes after arriving at the station.

We had a very enjoyable day at the Steam museum, we took our 2 year old Grandson and he loved it. We enjoyed our tea and cake. My only moan would be that the instructions from the car park are not that great luckily we found someone that had been before and they helped us out. I left my phone in the car so unfortunately no photos so will have to visit again. :)

The staff were welcoming and enthusiastic. We had an amazing afternoon going down memory lane, back to the time when the sights, smells and noises of the railway were part of our everyday lives.
The centre was interesting with lots to see. The trains were wonderful and although neither of them travelled very far, there was no restriction on the number of journeys. To top it all the cafe had a great selection of hot and cold snacks. The sun shone and our day was perfect!!
