From the moment,we arrived we had excellent service, from the man greeting us in the street , to the man opening the door, reception staff pointing us to the right direction and the concierge taking are extra bags we had to a store room.
When we arrived just a couple of minutes after the booking time, they said it was not an issue. Every staff member was polite and really seem to enjoy their job. I have been to many afternoon teas in London and I will definitely be returning and would recommend this to others. It is a well thought out menu. Not your average bread used for the sandwiches (which are refillable). Chocolate scones were a lovely addition to the other standard plain scones we also had. The cakes were lovely but we couldn’t manage them all as we had a few extra sandwiches. The waitress Tamara was so professional, pleasant and polite. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. I think the waiters name was ?Tun. He was very knowledgeable of the food and very helpful and clear with directions to the toilets.
When we had enough, we were offered boxes for both the spare cakes and spare sandwiches.
And as it was to celebrate my partners birthday we sung happy birthday and he got a cupcake with a candle it in brought to him by Tamara. He was a little embarrassed of course lol but loved the cake.
Tamara helped us get some retro sweets from
The sweet cart at the end.
Both staff members, welcomed us back to come along again, they have a different menu for the Christmas period and next year when I’ve had my
Baby I will definitely be returning.
At the end of the experience, I was waiting for my partner, who was at the toilet, after climbing back up the stairs myself, after using the facilities too (there is a lift). I am Heavily pregnant, so I got out of breath and Tun walked passed me, and had a genuine concern, as did other staff who passed me, if I was okay, as I was a little out of breath. (Sitting on a chair in the corridor, outside the restaurant.
