'Ghyll scrambling', as it's also known, is a perfect way to kindle an exciting sense of adventure - walk along the path of the water, clamber over rocks and negotiate a way around stunning pools and breathtaking waterfalls, all safely under the watchful eyes of the accompanying experienced instructors. Make your way up the amazing Ashgill Beck gorge, with stunning natural pools along the way. This fun, adventure-filled experience awaits adventurous pairs of explorers - are you ready?

  At least two weekend dates per month throughout the year.

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age is 18. No experience necessary but good level of fitness is required.

• Weather

  Gorge walking goes ahead in most conditions, cancellations are rare and are made for safety.

• Duration Detail

  Gorge walking lasts around two and a half hours. Total time including introduction and debrief is up to five hours.

• Numbers On The Day

  A minimum of six and maximum of 24 others take part.

• Dress Code

  Bring extra clothes, swimwear, a towel and a pair of old trainers each. Wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids are provided. Remove glasses or secure them firmly with elastic.
