Dissappointing
The host was more interested in telling us he had just got back from a 2 month holiday than showing much interest in what we were doing. Questions were asked and more often than not the answer was 'I don't know'. Myself and a gentleman from another table were served glasses that looked like it was the bottom of the barrel........the hist tried to tell us that they were fine but eventually did exchange them for us. At the end he then handed out cards with his name on without mentioning the food that was booked and then seemed surprised when I asked about it. We did eventually get our meals but it did seem like we were seriously putting him out by asking for what we had paid for. Anyway, all in all the beers were really good, just the whole hosting was very disappointing. Sort that out and the whole experience woukd be much much better

Gin masterclass
Brew house was not prepared for us or other groups arriving - short staffed. Toilets were dirty and unhygienic. Gin masterclass was really good!

Brilliant afternoon
We can't speak highly enough about this experience and as importantly the enthusiasm, knowledge and service of Rob who was so helpful and attentive throughout the whole experience. We tried quite a few beers and the meals were also delicious. Thank you to Rob and The Hoxton Hound.

Disappointing Experience
We booked this rum experience through Red Letter Days and attended at Brewhouse in Chester. While there was certainly no shortage of rum to taste, the overall experience was quite disappointing.
Unfortunately, the host didn’t appear to have much knowledge or passion for rum. Most of the information was simply read from an iPad, which made the session feel scripted and lacked the engaging stories and expertise you would expect from a tasting experience.
The generous amount of rum tasting was definitely the highlight, but an experience like this should be about much more than just the drinks. We were hoping to learn something new from someone knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but instead it felt quite flat and uninspiring.
Overall, the rum itself was great, but the delivery of the experience didn’t live up to expectations. I hope this feedback helps improve future sessions, as with a more experienced and engaging host it could be a really enjoyable event.

Great gift experience
Luca, our host, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were given 6 different rums of varying flavour and went through the tasting notes.
An interesting and different experience for the weekend.
