Meet the Tiger Experience at Dartmoor Zoo for Two

Come face-to-face with one of the world’s most fearsome animals with this Meet the Tiger experience for two people. Head to Dartmoor Zoo where you’ll meet with a knowledgeable keeper who will take you behind the scenes to get up close and personal with the zoo’s male tiger, Dragan, in a unique and exciting experience. Learn all about tigers as a species and the individual character of the zoo’s own tiger, and how he came to be at the zoo. Don’t forget to take some photos as a memento! For the rest of the day, you’ll be free to explore the zoo’s other exhibits, with a slice of cake and hot drink to top off the experience.

• Availability Description

  Available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11.30am, year round, excluding Christmas Eve to Boxing Day. It is recommended that you book well in advance to avoid disappointment as places are limited. Dates are available up to six months in advance. All dates are subject to availability.

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age: 8 years. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult as part of the booking. This experience can be tailored for all abilities. Please contact the supplier to discuss your needs. This experience may not be suitable for anyone who is pregnant, has a high blood pressure or is of a nervous disposition.

• Duration Detail

  This experience lasts for 20-30 minutes, but please allow two hours for the whole experience.

• Numbers On The Day

  Up to four pairs may be sharing this experience at the same time.

• Dress Code

  The enclosure grounds may be uneven or muddy depending on the weather. Sturdy and supportive footwear is recommended.

  Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website. Most of the zoo is accessible to wheelchairs and buggies, but some paths may be challenging, with hilly and rugged areas. The team is available to help when needed.
