About the experience
Take the controls of a hovercraft for one hour, inspired by Sir Christopher Cockrell’s famous invention that can travel over both land and water. After an introduction and safety briefing, you’ll complete a familiarisation session to practise steering and control. You’ll soon discover whether it feels more like flying or driving as you glide on a cushion of air—often likened to a flying carpet. Finish with a full drive and a competitive timed lap of the course.

Minimum age: 14 years. Maximum weight: 146kg/23st. This experience requires a reasonable amount of physical fitness and you must be able to kneel comfortably to participate. If in any doubt about your suitability please contact the supplier.

Fantastic experience
My friend bought this experience for my two teenage daughters. Although quite apprehensive at the beginning, Marc the instructor, built up their confidence gradually and by the end of the session they were whizzing around a field, even over a pond. I can’t recommend this experience enough for teenagers and adults who want an exhilarating experience that is well instructed and lots of fun!

Great fun - would've liked more time in the hovercraft
All good fun. The team from Acceler-8 were excellent, only downside is that whilst you may get 5 goes in the hovercraft that only equates to about 10 minutes of actual piloting (though in fairness this is true for all of these types of experience events)! Would've loved more time learning to "fly"!
