Awful spa experience

When we arrived for 9:30 (as per the email) the spa receptionist told us there was a children’s swimming lesson on until 11:00! I wanted to come to a spa to relax, not to listen to screaming children for 1.5 hours! The booking said we would receive a phone call up to 7 days before to confirm what treatments we’d like, however that didn’t happen and they assumed we wanted the facial and back massage. The spa day came with two treatments and the other treatment was a foot ritual, however when I asked the therapist are we having the foot ritual, they said no. The hanging rooms were also out of order due to it flooding, so we had to get changed in a hotel room, however other people were in there and it was very awkward. The afternoon tea was average. I would expect the tea to come in a tea pot, rather then us having to ask each time. The sandwiches tasted stale and had too much butter in them and there wasn’t much variety of sandwiches. Scones were lovely though! Overall this was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating day.

Fabulous Place

Great place, Spa is lovely and treatments was the best. Had afternoon tea which also was fabulous, the restaurant is very nice! Pool area with steam room, sauna and gym. Hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body and had wash all provided and the top it off the grounds are beautiful.

Relaxing day

Lovely location and staff were very pleasant and friendly. Only slight criticism was that the shampoo etc wasn’t refilled in the ladies changing rooms and they could do with vending/snack machine in the leisure club. I hadn’t had breakfast and our lunch wasn’t till 2. There wasn’t anything for me to purchase to keep me going

Mediocre

Found the whole experience a bit lackluster. Staff needed some customer service training. Spa centre looked like it could do with a bit of a refurb. The afternoon tea was very poor quality and staff again seamed like they were put out by having to serve guest's.
