Rally experience

This is the second time I have been given a driving experience run by Everyman , the first was disappointing as half the cars I drove were in a shocking state . This wasn't much better , the rally experience was a very short section of concrete runway with a course marked out by old tyres , how that can be described as a rally experience I do not know , Ive had more fun driving around Tesco's car park. Sorry to say this but I don't want to use everyman again , not good value for money

Disappointing

The photo is misleading the experience is a tarmac car park and the track is defined by car tyres. The purchasing process doesn’t reflect or mention the upselling options that are provided by the experience provider

A waste of time and money

Was given this experince as part of my 30th birthday present and was given it by someone who thought the sound of it would be amazing. While the write up makes it sound amazing it was far from it. The rally track was a small section on runway which had tires around to mark out a small course. There was no introduction or safety explanation. No skills taught. I arrived, was shown to the car and got in. Told to put the seatbelt on and then I could move my seat (moving your seat is easier before the belt is on). Then the instructor got in and told me to start the car with the clutch down. I then pulled off and drove round the small track 12 times with only left/right being said before I was told to leave the track and then park up. I don't feel I learnt any skill and could take an old banger round an empty car park and have more fun. The experience last around 5/10 mins on total. On top of all this despite this being brought as a present not photos or certificate was included and had to pay extra on arrival for any of this, although disappointed with the quality and options.

Not quite as expected

We expected a rally driving experience, off road, mud, field kind of thing. It's actually a relatively small gravelled track, tightly enclosed with tyres that doesn't allow you to get above 2nd gear. Previous to our experience day, Everyman called and advised me to make an additional insurance payment of £40 covering accidental damage to the car. Given the £5000 excess of course I paid. This is on top of the initial price. On reflection, I feel a little conned tbh. The chance of damaging the car are slim to none, the course is so controlled that it would be incredibly difficult to do any damage. It didn't feel like an experience, more like a conveyor belt. In, out and done asap. Having said that, Callum was knowledgeable, friendly and gave some great tips. The the professional driver lap was brilliant, at an additional cost of course!
