Food really wasn't great. Waited 40 mins to then be told one dish was out of stock so my daughter say waiting why we all had ours. The jacuzzi was also off for cleaning. The main reason I booked was to use that. So was quite disappointing. The food wasn't very hot or nice. But the staff and place in general was good.

Unfortunately the spa was far from clean with hair, dirt and cigarette butt's on the floor, as well as mould around the sides of the pool and grime all over the steam room. When we raised this with the manager they said 'it's because there was a party with lots of guests this morning'. The build up of mould and grime even inside the lockers there was grime and the women's changing rooms were disgusting, there's no way a party that morning was the cause of it all, its simply poor hygiene practise.
Following this we went to get our lunch, we decided to order sides which were not included in our voucher but we didn't mind this, until we were told by the waiter to pay up front 'because people walk out without paying'
For a restaurant in what I thought was a sophisticated hotel, I really felt like we were being looked down upon, we did not see anyone else being asked to pay up front. We ate our food and left as soon as possible as we felt like we weren't welcome.
I wouldn't recommend this experience at the Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel.
