Excellent Gift
Our stay at the West Cliff Hotel in Bournemouth was really lovely. On arrival we were welcomed by polite, helpful staff who took time to explain everything to us about the hotel the swimming pool, spa etc. We're were told the quickest way to the town centre, and the beach both of which was within easy walking distance. The hotel cleaning staff were also helpful and polite and kept the whole of the hotel and our room very clean.
There is a bar which as well as selling drinks also sold light meals all throughout the day including a cream tea available up to five pm each day. Breakfast could be eaten in the bar area or in the restaurant and comprised of cereals, fruit, croissants, toast, with butter, jam or marmalade. Then of course was the lovely English breakfast with everything from, eggs,bacon, tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns not forgetting the sausages. Tea and coffee was plentiful.
All the staff in all of these ares were always helpful and polite.

Extremely disappointed !!!!
There is nothing luxury about this hotel. The hotel's website shows their rooms as light and bright. In reality the hotel's rooms are tired, dull, dated and not very clean. The first room we were offered was small with stained sheets, a rusty bath and an unclean toilet. The second room was bigger but was still a depressing shade of grey with a sad looking bathroom without hand wash and a toilet seat that did not fit. We couldn't wait to go home.
I would like to know if Red Letter ever review their experiences because this SHOULD NOT be a destination offered on their site.
