We had such a lovely time. The restaurant is in a beautiful old hall sympathetically restored, with atmospheric lighting and furnishing. We had a great table, overlooking the whole restaurant and open kitchen. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive without being starchy. The food was excellent, exactly as we would have expected. Will definitely be back!

Not only was each course presented with intricate finishing details but they literally tasted as good as they each looked. The staff were extremely friendly and professional looking after our every need with lovely smiles on their faces

We had a fantastic meal at Galvin La Chapelle. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. A good selection of dishes on the set menu and staff very knowledgeable. Couldn’t fault, would recommend and will look to try another Galvin restaurant in future

Brilliant location, excellent food and very attentive, pleasant staff

The food was good, although the menu was very seafood orientated, which won't be for everyone's taste but was ok for us. However, this was not made clear at the time of booking, only when we received the menu on the night, so it might be worth noting for future customers. Whilst the service was good during the evening, by far the most frustrating thing about the whole experience was the service charge. We were charged almost 27% of our bill, which I think is ridiculous and far too much. Given the surroundings, and the way this was presented to us, we felt the pressure to pay this, however, with hindsight, I now wish I had refused and discussed this with management. There was a different tasting menu on the wall of the lift which referred to a 15% service charge, which we noticed whilst leaving the restaurant, so it did feel like we had been ripped off. Saying all that, I'd like to think that this was more a fault of the restaurant, trying to make more money from the customers, rather than something that Red Letter Days had added.

From the very start this was a fantastic experience ! The venue itself is a bit special and very picturesque! Team were very helpful and professional and the food and wine excellent ... Definitely worth a visit . Thank you RLD but especially my kids for buying this for my birthday

The food was exceptional and the whole service team was super friendly and engaged throughout the evening. We’d never dined at a Michelin-started restaurant before so it was a great experience that lived up to expectations.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Gotham and can’t wait to go back. The staff were lovely and the food was stunning. The staff made our anniversary feel so special. Would highly recommend.
