Absolutely lovely day! The food was beautiful and really enjoyed our champagne! Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful! Amazing surroundings outside!

Food and drinks were good quality.
We were supposed to have a champagne but were told that we would get soft drink and coffee or tea. We had to tell them that this was wrong. I had left my red-letter card in the car and was prepared to get it. The Maître d' told us that she check the booking instead. She came back to us saying that she could not find the booking form so as a favour would let us have some champagne after-all. We found this very insulting and a bit upsetting since we had paid and did not need a "favour".
We had requested no pork products, which were confirmed at the table, but there was a ham sandwich on the plate. The plate was taken away butI do not think that we got a new plate of sandwiches - rather just the ham sandwich replaced - contaminating the plate! What if we had an allergy rather than just a preference?
Compared to other 'Tea for two with bubbles' that we have previously had, the service was rather impersonal and mechanical.
No one came back to see if we were OK. No one offered us more drinks [which we would have been prepared to pay for]!
I don't think that they noticed us get up and leave.
The room itself was dark with minimal natural light.
We would not recommend going there again.
Disappointed to have spent a wedding anniversary event here.

From the time we parked up our experience was thoroughly charming. Grounds and premises were wonderful - the two ladies providing our Afternoon Tea were first class - nothing was too much trouble - had a truly lovely afternoon. We will return.
