Drive a range of classic military vehicles if you think you're hard
Including Fire muskets and mortars, and go on an SAS patrol
Best driver of the day crushes a car with a Chieftain tank
For gifts for men, you can't beat driving around in military vehicles and a spot of clay-pigeon shooting, so enjoy all the fun of being a soldier with none of the risks and get a tasty lunch included. Get kitted out in a camouflage suit and helmet and given a full safety briefing upon arrival. Drive a Russian Grozdilka tank, a Lance Missile carrier, an FV 432 armoured personnel carrier and a Supacat during this truly unique gift experience. The best driver gets to crush a car with a 56 ton Chieftain tank at the end of the day! Also, spend an hour in the armoury, learn how to fire a range of classic weapons like mortars and muskets and go on an SAS woodland patrol.
At least one Saturday a month from March - October.
Minimum age is 13. Minimum height is 5'2''. Participants need to be reasonably fit to take part. No previous driving experience is required.
The weather shouldn't stop this experience going ahead, but any cancellations are for your own safety. There are covered areas on-site to shelter in if it's wet.
Lasts for around nine hours, including 30 minutes of driving time.
Numbers on the Day
A maximum of 72 people take part, split into smaller groups of 12, with more vehicles added for more people if necessary.
A £30 spectator fee (payable on the day) includes lunch and a ride on some of the vehicles. You must let us know spectator numbers in advance (min age 7). Facilities are basic but spectators will be able to watch most of the action.
A camo suit and helmet are provided, so there's no need to wear anything special. Bring wellies and gloves (spectators too) - this one is not for the faint-hearted and everyone usually gets pretty muddy!
Changes to the booking can be accepted strictly no less than 14 days in advance of the event date. Exact vehicles driven on the day may be subject to change, but be assured each one packs a serious punch!
