Eight Mile Diesel Locomotive Driving Experience for One

Step into the driver’s cab of a Type 3 Class 37 diesel locomotive and enjoy the chance to take control for eight miles along the Wales and Princes Risborough Railway. Following a welcome and safety briefing, you’ll spend around an hour at the controls with the support of a qualified train driving instructor. With the locomotive running light engine, this immersive session is shared with one other participant and lasts about two hours overall.

  Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website. Location: Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway in Wales and the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway. Participants must be aged 18 or over. Those unable to climb from track level can board from the platform, though wheelchairs and walking aids cannot be taken into the cab.
