Thoughtful gift
Nice spa area and pool - could do with some refurbishment as the photos do not totally reflect what it is like. Staff were very professional and easy to talk to. Afternoon tea was delicious

Was a relaxing day hotel was fantastic clean and tidy what I didn't like was that there was a good few people there but I took that as a normal leisure centre even tho it wasn't easy a lovely gift for myself and my husband to enjoy

Lovely day all in all
My treatment was really lovely, my daughters facial was not as good. We had a lovely time in the pool area and it was very clean. The afternoon tea was a bit disappointing as the sandwiches and scones were dry and not very fresh. Still we didn't let it affect our day and had a lovely time.

What a disapointment
I embarked on my spa day with afternoon tea, having waited since Christmas to share it with a friend. The venue was lovely and had friendly staff at every step of the way but it was far from the 'treat' I had been looking forward to. There were about 6 loungers by the pool, 2 of which were broken so there was nowhere to sit and relax given the spa was also used by the hotel guests. There was a separate relaxation room which was lovely but it was upstairs away from the pool area. The spa pool was 'hogged' by very loud men, so again not relaxing for me and my female friend and we didn't actually get to have a go in it for more than 5 minutes. The Massage I had was wonderful and very relaxing but the overall session was stressful as the towels provided were very sparse and did not cover my fuller body so I ended up having to hold on to it to protect my modesty!! The lunch we brought ourselves was awful, absolutely smothered in English Mustard which burnt our mouths - we did send it back and it was replaced with no fuss. The afternoon tea which was part of the package consisted of scones defrosted in the microwave and defrosted small cakes, not very nice at all. Then to top it off the nail polish treatments we had didn't even last one day despite us following the guidance given to us, the nail gels simply fell off a couple of hours latter (and we had paid extra for them!). I am very upset that a precious gift from my husband that was meant to be a relaxing treat left me more frustrated than chilled.
