About the experience
Enjoy a two-hour kayaking experience on the River Leam with expert instruction. Following a safety briefing, take to the water in a one-person kayak and paddle through the Victorian Jephson Gardens before continuing into a nature reserve. Pause for a refreshment break, then, if available, finish with games designed to develop skills and confidence.

Available on selected weekend dates, March–October, around twice a month. All dates are subject to availability.
- Participant Guidelines
Minimum age: 14 years. Participants must be reasonably fit and confident in the water. Ability to swim is not necessary as buoyancy aids are worn at all times. A medical declaration must be completed and must be signed by a parent or guardian if under 18.
- Duration Detail
This experience lasts two hours and includes a refreshment break. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of the start time and allow time afterwards to shower and change.

- Dress Code
Please wear basic sports clothes that are fine to get wet and bring a towel and complete change of clothes. Either remove or firmly secure glasses; contact lenses may be worn.
- Other Info
Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website. A buoyancy aid and waterproof top are provided. Kayaking goes ahead in most conditions; very rarely, flood conditions may lead to postponement and the venue will make contact if a session is postponed. Student-to-tutor ratio is eight to one and everyone will have their own kayak. Expect to get wet; hot shower facilities are available so please bring shower kit. The venue is a British Canoeing Quality Mark centre and is licensed by the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority.
