About the experience

Get an introduction to birds of prey near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire and see the might, elegance and speed of these amazing creatures close up. Begin the session by meeting the falconer and embarking on a tour of the centre, meeting the various species that live there. Feel free to ask questions to learn more about what makes the birds tick and find out how they are cared for. Meet various types of owls including the indigenous tawny owl. With the help of a falconry expert, move on to flying a bird first-hand and handle and fly a Harris hawk and a Chilean eagle.

  • Availability Description

    Seven days a week all year round, excluding Christmas.

  • Participant Guidelines

    Minimum age seven (children aged 7 - 16 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult).

  • Weather

    Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather (strong winds or heavy rain), it can be re-booked for an alternative date.

  • Duration Detail

    Expect to be at the venue for approximately three and a half hours, starting at 9.45am and finishing at 1pm. Feel free to stay on at the centre during the afternoon.

  • Numbers On The Day

    A maximum of four participants share the day.

  • Dress Code

    All specialised equipment needed is provided. Country style clothing and stout footwear, along with a camera or binoculars are recommended.

  • Other Info

    All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences. Lunch is not included but there is a cafe and picnic area on site.
