Four Course Meal and Bottle of Prosecco at Appleby Manor for Two

Wonderful hotel! Staff lovely and very accommodating. Food amazing and bedrooms so clean. Will go again.

We recently had a one night spa escape with three course dinner at Appleby Manor. The venue was fantastic, easy to get to. We were warmly welcomed and graciously offered a complimentary room upgrade without any sort of request. Despite being a little early check in wasn’t an issue and we enjoyed a late lunch in the conversatory. The croque Madame was excellent! The room was excellent, spacious, stunning views and the bathrooms were immaculate to the point you’d have thought they were installed earlier that day. The spa has used its space really intelligently incorporating a lot in without it feeling squashed. They allocated two hour slots so it was never crowded and plenty of amenities were always available. Anyone wanting a huge pool or gym for exercise might be disappointed but spa days are more sloth like for me. The hydrotherapy pool was fab and the two outdoor jacuzzis were of premium design and felt awesome against the brisk January air. Using the spa on the evening and again after breakfast gave us tremendous rejuvenation. Food was top quality in the bistro also. Certainly rated as one of, if not the best, North East spa we’ve visited of late.
