We loved the concept of staying in a Romany-type caravan for two nights. The location suited us as naturalists so well with places like Arne Heath and Brownsea Island so close. We did other trips to Thomas Hardy’s house; Corfe Castle and to the Great Bustard project on Salisbury Plain. We packed a lot in but we were there close to Longest Day so we had lots of time to use. We are in our 70’s but encountered no problems here - and the staff were so friendly and helpful too.

I was not sure what to expect as I have never been to a Slug and Lettuce before. My husband and I were very impressed with their burgers, very yummy. The whole meal was excellent. We only paid for the drinks and there were some amazing cocktails on the menu.
