Afternoon Tea in Yorkshire and the Humber

I was in two minds about booking this for my mother having read some of the reviews. However I'm so glad I did. The owner and her cousin were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The scones were home made and absolutely delicious, with plenty of cream and ham. The tour was about 1.5 to 1.75 hours, there were plenty of places for my mother sit on the way around. John was very knowledgeable and engaging. We both had aively time, thank you.

The whole experience was amazing. The setting was first class. The quality of the food was outstanding and the portion size was just perfect. The staff were very welcoming, curtious and friendly

Lovely main meal and dessert

Really enjoyed the afternoon tea at the Slug and Lettuce on Sunday. The service was excellent, the food was great; being a vegetarian was not an issue at all. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you

Great my mum loved it

we went to the vineyard on a slightly overcast, threatening rain, kind of Yorkshire day but nothing the weather did could dampen the enthusiasm of the tour guide and group we were with. An excellent afternoon made even better with funny anecdotes, yummy Yorkshire wine tastings and a scrumptious afternoon tea to finish it all off. Highly recommend.

This was a lovely gift and the opportunity to learn about Heart Yorkshire Vineyards and wine making. The presentation by one of the family members was engaging and informative. Chatting through their history leading to their success story. We were then taken around the Vineyards explaining the different types and how they are maintained. Then finally into were the manic happens, from grapes, to wine to bottling. When we returned to the marquee we had wine tasting laid out with some light bites to accompany. This was followed by lunch from a choice of 5 lunch menus. Quick visit to the shop to buy some of their wonderful wine. An absolutely lovely afternoon, highly recommended if you are into your wines.
