Afternoon tea in the South West

I was in two minds about booking this for my mother having read some of the reviews. However I'm so glad I did. The owner and her cousin were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The scones were home made and absolutely delicious, with plenty of cream and ham. The tour was about 1.5 to 1.75 hours, there were plenty of places for my mother sit on the way around. John was very knowledgeable and engaging. We both had aively time, thank you.

Greeted at entrance shown to a seat, she brought menu, took order all very professional, the sandwiches were lovely, scones a bit dry, cakes are lovely but after eating sandwiches and scones we got cakes boxed up, must say all of the staff are very nice

Was a Xmas gift from our children..Weather was perfect and the whole experience was so enjoyable.Food wad delicious and the staff were so helpful..

Lovely afternoon tea and tea unlimited which is a must when having afternoon tea! It was nice not to have to book just turn up with voucher so no faffing!

Took the plunge and upgraded our Red Letter Gift to sample the Harry Ramsden Afternoon Tea experience. It was very good and well worth the visit. The Fish n Chip themed food was expectational, and plentiful and the serving staff made it a very good experience overall.

We were gifted a champagne afternoon tea and although we had difficulty getting through on the phone to the Hyll Hotel, Charingworth, Chipping Campden (formerly Charingworth Manor), but we were able to book in on line without any problems and realise the phone issue may have been something to do with the recent renovation work? On our arrival we were greeted at reception by a lovely young lady who took us through to the dining area which appears to have been recently updated but is very tastefully decorated, tables are not too close together and chairs very comfortable. We apologised, as we had forgotten to bring the gift voucher (realised as we were parking the car!) but they were able to find the reference number from the original booking and nothing seemed too much trouble. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious albeit very filling. The young gentleman who served us, offered to box up the remaining cakes and, although unexpected and not something we often do, we didn’t want to miss out on the delicious looking cakes, so gratefully accepted - he was very attentive without being invasive and at the end of our tea, he chatted with us for a while and we must commend him on his professionalism and politeness throughout the afternoon. We enjoyed the tea so much, we intend to return to have a Sunday lunch or dinner as we are sure the chef won’t disappoint. We would highly recommend a visit and our compliments to all the staff we met and we look forward to our return visit.

It was a lovely experience, the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were first class. The cream tea was excellent and the setting was excellent.
