Two Day Weekend Pottery Course for One in Herefordshire
Based within Eastnor Castle Estate, this weekend pottery course is an ideal place for beginners to learn new pottery skills. Start day one with a welcome tea or coffee, before receiving group demonstrations and learning the process of pot throwing. After being assigned to an individual potter's wheel, get creative and gain fundamental pottery skills. Develop at a comfortable pace with experienced tutors available to help. Watch further demonstrations and work on bigger lumps of clay, making larger pots and experimenting with various shapes and forms, the results of which are left overnight to dry. On the second day, advance previously developed skills by learning to add foot rings, connect handles and attach other motifs. Choose the best pots and colour them using glazes and decorating slips. The creations are left to dry before being put in the kiln. They are fired and glazed and will be delivered approximately one month later.
