Absolutely brilliant day. Wonderful setting, fantastic animals kept as naturally as possible, lots of space to roam, hide & be themselves. A true breath of fresh air to see, unlike any other captive setting I’ve visited. The afternoon tea was delicious, friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend.

Harder than you think!!! Great fun, nice venue in a beautiful setting of Escot House. Lovely staff. Great coffee shop/cafe. Dogs welcome too !! Great little Xmas gift.

Welcomed and given the alternatives available on the Red Letter Voucher. Four Starters to choose from and several mains. Each was described by staff and selection made. Service was excellent and food served served fairly quickly. Great flavours and plenty of it. Will certainly put this restaurant on the list to visit again.

The venue was good friendly staff,food was good ,the atmosphere was of a friendly but competitive. The cast held their own with the buzz of the crowd with the storyline being laid outand the clues giving an insight into a good whodunit. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. RED letter should hold their heads up high

When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff who were very helpful and took us to the restaurant. It was delightfully decorated and we were quickly taken to our table. We had made a couple of requests regarding what we wanted and these were immediately mentioned and assured were being followed. A glass of champagne each was poured and we toasted the occasion. The sandwiches were very nice with different tasty breads for each sandwich. The scones were nice and freshly made. The cakes were great although by this time we were too full to eat them and so they were neatly packed in a box for us to take home. We enjoyed them the following evening and they were scrumptious. All I can add is that Sopwell House is a lovely place, our experience couldn't have been better, a big thankyou to all the staff who helped make the day special.

A great evening, the host was great, an amazing choice of whisky and beer, and the food was good too!!

I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the lady was very informative about beers and we actually learnt something having been beer drinkers for far too long!

At Peggotty’s you get choose your sandwich, (no weird fillings), have a choice of three scones, plain, sultana(cream/jam) or cheese (served with cream cheese, chilli jam/chutney) and you get choose a slice of homemade cake. Everything was fresh and homemade, there was absolutely no waste as you choose what you like.?? Luca, our host, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were given 6 different rums of varying flavour and went through the tasting notes. An interesting and different experience for the weekend.
