25 Mile Helicopter Tour of the Welsh Marches

Take a tour of the Welsh Marches from the air and discover more about one of the most fought-over areas of the UK - and see just why! Get comfy in a Jet Ranger Bell 206 or Robinson R44 and set off over the River Severn, passing Dolforwyn Castle in its picturesque valley; this castle was seized by the English just days after its completion in 1277 and looks just as imposing from the air. Pass the historic town of Montgomery, with Georgian architecture and ruined 13th century castle, before heading to the rolling Shropshire hills and lush Corndon, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Then it's over Long Mountain and Offa's Dyke, before passing the famed red sandstone Powys Castle, former home of Welsh royals, and landing.

  Flights take place one weekend date per month from March - October.

• Participant Guidelines

  Min age five, max weight 17 stone and anyone unders 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Disabled passengers are welcome, with carers. All passengers must purchase a seat on the flight.

• Weather

  This is a weather dependent activity, mainly due to wind speeds and cloud base above the ground. It is crucial to call the venue before setting out to check conditions. If the flight is cancelled, it can be re-booked directly with the venue.

• Duration Detail

  Expect to be at the venue for about one hour, including a safety briefing and a flight time of 12 - 15 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start.

  Share the helicopter with up to three other sightseeing enthusiasts.

• Dress Code

  Please bear in mind that inside the helicopter can get quite warm. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
