This experience is perfect for singers or for musicians who'd like to record a piece of music. Turn up having rehearsed a chosen song or arrangement and exclusively have the studio to record in. A experienced session engineer/producer will guide you through the process and give expert advice on giving the best performance (and will be a lot more friendly than Simon Cowell). Get a feel for the mixing process and what happens behind the scenes in the music industry then after giving it your all, take home the best performance from the session on a CD.
Saturday and Sunday mornings throughout the year (excluding two weeks over xmas and all bank holidays when the studio is closed). From mid June to mid July Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays are available. Please be aware that dates often get booked several weeks in advance.
Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. Up to two people are welcome to take part, singing solos or duets. The building is new and is fully wheelchair accessible, wheelchair users are very welcome.
Lasts for three hours, enough time to record one (with an instrument) or two songs. Please don't arrive more than five minutes early as a session may still be running.
Numbers on the Day
The studio time is held on a one-to-one basis with an experienced recording engineer.
Up to two spectators are welcome (any minors must be accompanied by an adult) and cameras, camcorders or other video equipment can all help capture the experience.
The studio will call you one week before the session to discuss your song. They have a wide variety of backing tracks but some songs are not available due to copyright. You're also welcome to record instrumental pieces by prior arrangement.
