Overview
Give a young driver the chance to grips with the fundamentals of driving a car with an engaging one-hour lesson. Get behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Corsa SE Premium or a similar vehicle and receive one-to-one support from a fully qualified instructor. Learn to drive in a safe environment on a road system that replicates the UK road, featuring roundabouts, road signs and junctions. This driving programme aims to cover all the driving essentials that would be taught on the road. Young drivers will be instructed on how to stop and start, steer and turn the car, change gear and more. This engaging experience will allow a young driver to get on the right track, kick starting their driving success and helping to build their confidence on the road.
In a Nutshell
- Spend one hour driving on a replica road system that represents the UK road, with junctions, traffic lights, roundabouts and road signs
- Each student will receive a personalized Young Driver Drive Diary
- Enjoy access to the Young Driver app
- Be taught the basics of driving in the latest Vauxhall Corsa SE Premium or a similar vehicle

Today my son had his first driving experience at Detling Showground, he absolutely loved it. His instructor said he was a bit nervous at first, but once he got into it, he did extremely well. I would recommend the driving experience for any child, it can help their overall development, and help with the confidence levels. He will be going for more lessons, that is for sure.

Would highly recommend. Easy to book & change times etc if need to. 15 year old child was very nervous but instructor was brilliant. Paid for one hour lesson and whole hour was in the car, no time wasted in getting going. Would definitely do again.

My son loved this, it was his 13th Birthday present. It has helped with his confidence and allowed him to try this safely. The driving instructor was great and patient with him.

An absolutely brilliant experience! We got this as a Christmas present for our daughter, she loved it! Peter her instructor was fantastic, very patient and understanding. He also gave us great feedback regarding the area’s she needed to work on.
The whole team were very friendly and I would highly recommend this to anyone who thinks their child might enjoy it and learn about the basics of driving in an extremely safe environment.

My nan and grandad bought me this experience for my birthday, it was great fun and I really enjoyed it, I will be telling all my friends and certainly recommending it as a good idea before starting driving lessons

My son received the Red Letter Day experience for a 1 hour driving lesson. He loved the lesson! However, it was very hard to book the experience. The Young Driver website doesn't recognise the RLD voucher codes. We had to phone up after trying several times. Once phoned, the lady booked us manually.
