I have had afternoon tea a number of times and this one was the best. The welcome was warm and friendly. The tea was different as in it was not just standard sandwiches. You were given a warm sausage roll, mini prawn cocktail and a ham salad sandwich , yummy. Add the scone and sweet treats in a super environment, that was comfortable and relaxed. Did not want to leave

Everything about this afternoon tea experience was 5*. The setting is wonderful - despite being there on a rainy day this did not detract from the whole experience. The food was lovely and very original and the service was so friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Different from the traditional afternoon tea but still included all the elements, savoury, scones and cake. The staff were efficient and friendly and the castle is full of history but very comfortable. Overall a wonderful experience.
