About the experience

Wonderful family outing and first Red Letter Day experience

My experience with Red Letter Days would be a 3 out of 5. We are still waiting for a reply to an email sent over 40 days ago! For ZSL Whipsnade, I'd give them 6 out of 5. They have been amazing! This was the first long drive for my ten-month-old boy. We hadn't been able to use the red letter day vouchers sooner due to the little one and were conscious the deadline was near. I emailed ZSL with two weeks remaining suggesting our preferred dates, and they were able to get us in and sent a personalised reply. That was a great first impression. The zoo is easy to locate, has ample parking, and is beautifully kept. I've mixed feelings about Zoos, but Whipsnade was a positive experience. The animals don't look like they're suffering; they appear cared for and well-fed. The entire place is very family-friendly and has heaps to do and see. I will be back for more visits; we loved it all, especially the penguins!
