Urban Beekeeping and Hiver Honey Beer Tasting Experience for One
Experience the ultimate buzz with this unique glimpse into the world of urban beekeeping and the chance to sample some award-winning beer from Hiver Beers. In the shadow of London's iconic landmark, The Shard, start the experience with a quick introduction to urban beekeeping, before suiting up in protective clothing and boots, ready to get stuck in. Join the Hivers beekeeper for a hive inspection and lend a helping hand in handling the frames and checking the health of the hive. Afterwards, head back inside and relax while enjoying a tutored session with an expert. Learn how to match honey beer with food. Boasting a deliciously smooth texture, Hiver Beers have the potential to convert even the most infrequent beer drinkers!

- Availability Description
This voucher is valid for one person. Available most weekends from mid-April until mid-September. All dates are subject to availability.
- Participant Guidelines
Minimum age: 18 years. Beer contains gluten so the tasting is not suitable for those who suffer with coeliac disease. There is a small risk of getting stung during the hive inspection, but whilst this is very rare, we do not recommend the experience for individuals who are allergic to bees.
In the case of really wet or cold weather, the group will focus on inspecting the exhibition hive, working with the beekeeping tools to build frames and working with the biproducts of the hive.
This experience lasts two hours.
- Numbers on the Day
Join a group of up to 12 participants.
- Dress Code
The venue will provide a beekeeping suit (including face protection) along with gloves on the day, but please wear sensible flat shoes and bring socks. Feet should be fully covered.
