Excellent Break
We were greeted warmly & shown to our room. Two flights of steep steps, not good but the manager saw my wife struggle with the climb & very kindly reallocated a room on the first floor. Excellent staff with a warm approach to guests. Breakfast - spot on to set you up for the day but do try a steak in the evening - fantastic.

We had a very nice 1 night stay at The Royal Lodge it is in a very beautiful area.
The staff there were amazingly helpful and very friendly although our room was a little old fashioned but very comfortable, a bit on the warm side and windows that only open about an inch, lucky we had a fan in wardrobe which we used.
The food there is excellent but a bit pricey.

Excellent return visit to a lodge we stayed at in 2018. much improved.still needs a bit of tlc, but these are hard times for all.
