Enter the special and thrilling world of falconry with this bird of prey day near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. Begin by meeting the falconer and taking a guided tour of the centre, seeing all the species in the collection. With plenty of opportunities to ask questions of the professional who has an informal friendly style, expect to learn lots about these majestic creatures. Get introduced to the various types of owls including the Tawny owl. Under guidance from the expert falconer, try flying a bird first-hand and then head out on a hawk walk across the parkland and by the lake. Towards the end of the session, fly an eagle, meet pelicans and even have a go at feeding a vulture. A great day out for any bird lover.
