Overnight Escape with Breakfast for Two at The Dial House

Upon arrival, we could not use the door code that was supplied. We rang the supplied emergency number and it was answered quickly. There was no reception and no one on site to answer any questions. No personal experience. I have to say though, our room, The Italian Palace was lovely. There was a party downstairs on the night that we stayed but it did not interrupt us. However, at 6.30am in the morning, the equipment was being dragged across the floor, there were a lot of banging doors and the van door being slammed that must have been parked outside. Then at about 7.30am we heard ‘blues’ music being played. It appeared to have been coming from speakers around the building. Not the relaxing night away that we wanted. Breakfast was a coffee and cake. As lovely as the bread source was, I would have liked a roll with jam or similar, not a cake at 9am. The area was lovely and the Kings Arms pub across the square was fantastic. Shame about our expensive, non-relaxing stay.
