Lovely retirement present

I had this bought as a retirement present when I finished at my school by the teachers I worked with. It was such a pleasant experience. The restaurant, the staff, the food everything was lovely. I would have liked to have known more about what was included in the red letter package as I was a little unsure as what we would get and what might be extra. As it was the tea included sandwiches, cakes, scones and 1 gin or 1 glass of champagne the staff at the Lowery could not have been more helpful. It really was a beautiful experience.

Afternoon Tea at Lowry Hotel

Just had a G&T Afternoon Tea at Lowry Hotel as a present for Xmas. It was lovely ??. The food was delicious & well presented & the staff were all very friendly & helpful. We even turned up 45 mins early & they fitted us in without any drama. This was an excellent Xmas present & not something we would have thought of ourselves.

Afternoon Tea

Lovely afternoon celebrating a friends birthday. Great service and lovely afternoon tea with a fantastic selection. Too much to eat so we brought some home!

Mothers day gift

Was really looking forward to this afternoon tea as was a mother's day gift and at the Lowry Hotel which we expected to be very good with a view of the water we believed. Considering the cost we found the savoury side very meagre, for a vegetarian a green slither of sandwich which I think was warm onion and lettuce was awful. A small slide plate between us with 4 small items each was the savoury part, with a lot more emphasis on the sweet side, again 4 small individual sweet things and a warm scone each which was the nicest part. The glass of champagne was very nice too, though we did have to ask for it. Peppermint tea was not enjoyed but the black decaf coffee was OK. People with gift vouchers seem to get ushered to one side of the restaurant and basically you could be anywhere then, no view of water or anything else. Hotel and staff should remember you may not be paying on the day but someone has paid and sent you there for a treat/gift so being made to feel more special rather than like a 2nd class customer would be nice.
