FANTASTIC STAY

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in a different part of the hotel with a balcony attached. We had a beautiful view of the Rutland Water & hotel. They had on site swimming pool, so we had a wonderful cooling swim. We had a wonderful meal in Blossoms Restaurant. The food was divine. They had lots of gluten free choices too.

Quality Afternoon tea

Blossoms restaurant was very tasteful. Afternoon tea selection was excellent & very filling. Sandwiches, sausage roll, mini quiche, scones, trifle & cakes.

Very tasty

Nice atmosphere in the hotel and the afternoon tea was perfect. Fresh sandwiches, very tasty savouries and cakes with a nice cup of tea. Perfect.

Lovely scenic break

We enjoyed a lovely break here which was on the same day a family wedding was taking place. Breakfast was delicious, however the poor chef was run off his feet, given it was bank holiday weekend and with a wedding party to cater for. We requested space in the room for a cot but the room was very cramped where we had to squeeze out cot against the bed and window. Another family member with single occupancy was given a room upgrade which didn't make sense. The swimming pool is cold and small and we struggled to walk to the lake due to no direct path from the hotel and wire preventing access. The grounds are beautiful and the view is amazing, where staff are so polite and welcoming.
