Ruthern Valley is in a beautiful setting. Facilities are immaculate. Pods were great.

Our 2 night stay at the Pheasant Inn Casterton could not have been better. Fabulous location, lovely accommodation, fantastic food and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Would love to go back in the future.

I bought this experience for my fiance as a Christmas present. He had done gorge walking before but it's something that I would usually say was out of my comfort zone so thought I'd challenge myself too. We both love Wales, especially the Brecon Beacons and I thought it would give us a different perspective from our previous visits. Pete was an amazing guide. He was very easy going but on the ball and gave very clear instructions. He kept things fun but our safety was paramount at all times. We had lots of fun jumping in and navigating the gorge. Pete took lots of pics and vids of us along the way which were sent on after the experience. My fiance and took our own full length wet suits but these were provided as part of the experience along with buoyancy jackets and helmets. Pete bought along some Haribos to give us a top up of energy. As well as the history of the gorge we learnt about some of the edible plants along the way which was a nice little bonus. The best part for me was Freya, Pete's special helper (his pet dog) she worked really hard to keep us all together and checking on us all in turn. I really surprised myself and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone who loves water activities and having an adventure. Top tip you will need sturdy and comfortable footwear i.e a good pair of trainers with decent grip.

This stay was a Christmas gift for us from our daughter and the actual stay was perfect , what a beautiful place and the flowers and gardens were fabulous as was the food , room , service and bar . However the actual booking if this gift was not good at all ! I rang about February time to book a date in July only to be told I couldn’t book for another 3 months as it was too early ! When I did ring on the given date I was told the date I wanted was full ! Then tried to book the following night but same thing , full up ! I couldn’t understand this and rang Red Letter Days for advice only to be told it was nothing to do with them just deal with the hotel ! A very disappointing scenario , However our stay was just what we hoped only spoilt by the unnecessary rules and red tape and lack of interest from yourselves .

On arrival the rain was torrential and appeared with the amount of people there that it was gonna be a wash out. How wrong was I. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The organisation was slick and waiting time was virtually nothing. If you’re a petrol head as I am. The array of cars on view added to the occasion. The demo lap was a must to make the most of your time and the waiver gave peace of mind. The instructors coach you extremely well, enabling you to make the most of your experience within your own abilities, especially in the wet. Will definitely go again.

W had such a lovely relaxing time at Kingston Country Courtyard, Dorset. Very comfortable, great food and friendly. The location was perfect for us, quiet with stunning views.
