Paul was the perfect host and font of all knowledge. His expertise is second to none. Explained the background to distilling and what the process was to produce the perfect gin. We had a gin on arrival, another during our time there and a lovely little grazing board. My finished bottle came with a personalised label. We stayed after as the distillery has a fabulous bar to continue our tasting experience! Would absolutely recommend.

I was gifted an afternoon tea for two, at Bagden Hall, by my son and his girlfriend. It was a lovely experience.

The venue was good friendly staff,food was good ,the atmosphere was of a friendly but competitive. The cast held their own with the buzz of the crowd with the storyline being laid outand the clues giving an insight into a good whodunit. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. RED letter should hold their heads up high

Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Greeted with a roaring wood fire making the wet weather tolerable. Check in was seamless and the bar and restaurant very welcoming. Food was superb and staff polite, cheerful and helpful. Big bonus being dog friendly, they were accepted everywhere except the restaurant which was understandable. No problem we ate in the bar and as all the other guests did too it made for a really warm and friendly atmosphere. First visit here and it will definitely not be our last.

Paid for a overnight stay in a view room. Room allocated had no view only an internal view of other buildings, after contacting reception was given another room that reception said it had a slight view of the creek hence you could just see the creek. Staff polite and helpful. Food ok.

This adult glamping and touring caravan park is immaculate and the facilities are superb. Would definitely recommend.

We had a voucher gift, were amazed by the experience of staying in this remarkable castle, such an ambitious building and awesome setting on the crag staring at the real ancient Beeston Castle on the opposite crag. Classic bedroom (the budget end of their offer) is certainly Victorian-looking, heavy brocades, but bathroom v good and it was in keeping w the castle's period. V good pork fillet & braised beef dishes in 1851 restaurant, great garlicky broccoli, lovely smooth celeriac soup, & with bottle of wine £55 each, good value for that quality. Breakfast marvellous croissants, fresh fruit salad, good hams & cheese, plus decent hot offers - but insipid coffee! surprising. Brasserie dinner 2nd night not so assured (overdone prawns, sauces splurged on without much thought) yet comparable dish prices to 1851 which isn't ideal. But well handled problem with sour beer, immediately properly replaced & not charged at all. Bedding & toiletries good quality. Explored atmospheric wine cellar & great hall (where bridal party were rehearsing). Garden courtyard perfect for the castle & astounding views in the wood surrounding if you wander down the Landrover Experience track. Saw a lot of busy gardening staff, a great sign. Felt this place is getting a lot of love from its owners & staff, & that reflected back to us as customers. Really impressed, especially as we were voucher customers. I felt the Peckforton team welcomed us there.
