Short Breaks in York

What a fabulous stunning venue to enjoy an afternoon tea experience !!

Opportunity to explore a new area with a two night stay away. We paid along with the red letter voucher for a fantastic location in historic Woodstock at The Bear

The venue was good friendly staff,food was good ,the atmosphere was of a friendly but competitive. The cast held their own with the buzz of the crowd with the storyline being laid outand the clues giving an insight into a good whodunit. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. RED letter should hold their heads up high

This experience involved climbing onto a yacht moored at a jetty on Lake Windermere then sailing around the lake for two hours. The host, Ian Doig, was a competent professional sailor and after the meet and greet made a point of asking us if we wanted life jackets. We set off and Ian talked us through the process of pointing the boat into the wind to set the sails, then basic procedures like tacking to get up and down the lake. This was a challenge as the wind was variable and the lake was busy but that made the experience much more enjoyable as we had to keep an eye out for other craft and be aware of changes in wind direction and current etc. A couple times we got up to five knots, which was pretty exhilarating. Ian was was very knowledgeable about the lake and the local area and very communicative, including talking about how he got into sailing. Altogether this was a really enjoyable experience and my only regret is that we couldn't go out again. I would recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in sailing or who wants to explore Lake Windermere and enjoy some fantastic scenery.

Me and my partner stayed in a pod and we were amazed by how nice it was. There is a lovely river as you look out the door and was very quiet and relaxing. The toilet/shower facilities were spotless. Loads to do in the area. .

We had a very good three night stay at the Indigo Hotel, Liverpool.Nice hotel and excellent service. I would recommend.

Lovely hotel, clean, easy to find. Not a lot of parking need to be early as on a 1st come basis. Recently been refurbished.

With a range of locations and hotels to chose from, we opted for the Talbot Hotel in the lovely market town of Ledbury. The Talbot like many of the building in the town is a picturesque timber framed building bursting witj character. Our room was a good size and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. Would definitely recommend this for an overnight break.
