Refined afternoon tea
Had a really enjoyable afternoon tea at New Place. It consisted of different flavour unlimited tea, finger sandwiches/wraps filled with egg and cress, salmon and cream cheese and coronation chicken. 2 Scones, jam and cream plus 6 small cakes. Very tasty and enjoyable. Great service in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended.

Delicious afternoon tea
New Place is a beautiful setting for afternoon tea. The warm sausage roll was a surprise but very tasty. The warm scones were served with generous portions of cream and jam. There was a good variety of cakes. I have deducted one star because of the tiny piece of smoked salmon served with rye bread which was much too dense for a delicate fish. Also the coronation chicken was served in wraps which I did not like. Personal preference as my husband ate every mouthful! The egg sandwiches were fresh. The waitress was lovely and asked if we would like more tea. Overall a good experience.
