Disappointing

I had expected more of a spa experience. You will only get this by booking lots of treatments at an extra cost. You’re literally getting access to a pool and jacuzzi and a very small one at that, and It was so busy that there were no beds available around the pool. The restaurant was very nice but you will have very limited choice if you don’t pay a supplement. Steak for example was only available at a hefty extra cost of £14 pp. I ended up with a bill of £45 bearing in mind dinner was supposed to have been included in my voucher. Overall a lovely hotel and very nice rooms but advertising it as a spa is misleading, its a pool at best and you will end up spending a substantial amount when you get here if you want to make it worthwhile.

Spa break - with no spa availability

Hotel itself was lovely. No spa availability as it was full of members of the gym who are entitled to use the spa facilities. Not one free chair to sit on or room to relax to be found anywhere! It wasn’t even a weekend that we used the voucher - midweek so hate to think how much worse it would be at the weekend. Does not offer what it promises.

Amazing stay - highly recommend

We had the loveliest break at Greenwoods, it has obviously all been recently updated and the spa is spotless and refurbed to a high standard. The head massage was sublime and the masseuse was super attentive, I was worried being part of a voucher that it might feel a bit of a add on but she really gave me a lovely treatment. We were blown away by the quality of the food, the 3 course meal was delicious and the staff were very attentive. The bedroom was decorated lovely and a great size and the whole hotel has a lovely character, along with the grounds. I highly highly recommend either as a gift or to visit yourself, you will not be disappointed.
